Nagpur: The Notice to Air Men (NOTAM) at Nagpur airport, to keep the runway shut between 1pm and 4.30pm, has been extended and it will be in effect till July 15. The NOTAM of three-and-a-half hours was in effect from May 15.
Earlier, during the actual recarpeting work carried out between December 2013 and May 2014, the NOTAM was of seven-and-a-half hour — 9.30am to 4.30pm. After May 15, as the main work finished, the NOTAM was altered to three-and-a-half hour — between 1pm and 4.30pm — to carry out some of the supplementary work and was expected to be lifted by June 30. But, as the work is yet to finish, the NOTAM will continue for another 15 days.
