Technical snag delays Delhi flight

Jaipur:  In the wake of cases where carelessness from airline crew can prove fatal, the pilot of a Delhi-bound flight from terminal 2 of Jaipur airport did an exemplary thing on Friday.

As the plane was moving on the runway for take off, the pilot decided against take off as he discovered serious technical snag in the plane. All the 65 passengers were informed by the plane crew about the technical snag. Almost after three hours the same plane took off and carried only 45 passengers as 15 passengers took another flight while five cancelled their journey.

According to the sources from the Jaipur airport, the Delhi-bound aircraft was on the runaway at 7.15am and it was scheduled to take off at 7.30am. "While the pilot started moving the aircraft before the final take off, he realized that there was something wrong in the engine. He instantly decided against taking off and an announcement was made in that regard," said an officer of the Jaipur airport.
