Trichy: Some 35 passengers of the Dubai-bound Air India Express flight were stranded for more than eight hours at Trichy international airport due to late arrival of the flight from Dubai on Wednesday.
The delay irked the passengers who entered into heated arguments with the staff of AI Express. Officials working for the government-run air carrier said they could not communicate the information about the delay to those passengers who had not provided local contact numbers.
Boeing 737-800 flight from Dubai to Trichy was expected to land at Trichy international airport at 1.30 pm. However, the flight made its landing at 9.30 pm. As per schedule, the plane to Dubai should have left at 02.30 pm.
