Air India flight to London, New Jersey soon

Ahmedabad: Gujarat has made out a strong case for resuming Air India's Ahmedabad-London operations which were suspended some years ago. The flight may be extended up to New Jersey, a Gujarati hub in the US.
Also, Union minister for civil aviation Ashok Gajapathi has been requested to start A-I operations linking both Surat and Vadodara to Dubai. This would turn both into international airports and lure more business.
The demand was conveyed after chief minister Anandiben Patel dispatched state minister Saurabh Patel to New Delhi to take up aviation issues. Given the changed political equations, these demands are likely to be accepted.
