Civil Aviation Minister, Andhra CM discuss airport development plans

Hyderabad: The Union Minister for Civil Aviation, P Ashok Gajapathi Raju, today met the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, and discussed the State Government’s plans to develop 14 airports.
According to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office, during the meeting, issues of land acquisition, infrastructure facilities required for the new airports planned by the government and investments and revenue from the airports to the State Government were discussed. The Chief Minister said of the 14 airports proposed, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Tirupati would be developed as international airports.
