With the outbreak of Ebola in African countries, passengers from international destinations are being checked for the virus at the Lucknow airport, officials said on Thursday.
Doctors and paramedic staff has been posted at the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Amausi here to screen passengers for the virus, an airport official told IANS.
Medical official SN Yadav said all necessary steps as per the union health ministry have been taken.
A separate six-bed ward to treat possible cases has been set up at the Lokbandhu hospital in the city. An ambulance service for the transport of a patient who shows symptoms has also been arranged, Yadav added.
