Pilots to unite under Jet union’s banner

Mumbai: Concerned with the increasing number of cases where the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has acted against the cockpit crew, domestic pilots from across airlines are coming together to form a joint forum guided by the National Aviators Guild (NAG), the powerful union of Jet Airways pilots, to fight against the alleged discriminatory policies of the aviation regulator.
The forum will work as a domestic airline pilot-pressure-group, keeping in mind the pilots' interests. They will interact with the DGCA, the ministry of civil aviation, the civil advisory safety advisory committee (CASAC).
"Pilots from across airlines have already met to discuss the matter. We have also met the civil aviation minister in this regard," confirmed a senior NAG office bearer.
