Bhopal: The state government is gearing up to do away with its 12 years old plane Super King B-200 and replace it with a new plane. Contemplation is on to buy a new plane for chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan.
A committee of chief secretary, principal secretary, aviation and other officials has discussed on this issue and a decision may soon be taken in this regard.
The state government is also in a fix to decide whether to buy a new plane or hire a plane. A new Jet plane would cost around Rs 60 crore while buying the advanced model of government’s current plane would cost around Rs 40 crore. Consideration on these options is delaying the process of buying new plane.
