AI to operate two Surat-Delhi flights

Surat: The long pending demand of fliers in the Diamond City for a morning and evening connectivity to New Delhi has been finally fulfilled. Air India, which operates Delhi-Surat-Delhi flight services with its partner airline, Alliance Air, has decided to operate morning and evening flights between Delhi and Surat from September 17. At present it is operating an afternoon flight.

The decision was taken by AI authorities after a meeting with trade and industry bodies in Surat on August 19.

Besides AI's western region officials led by general manager Mukesh Bhatia, industry stakeholders, members of the trade and commerce, Surat Diamond Association (SDA), Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGand We Want Working Airport at Surat (WWWAS) participated in the meeting.
