Air India Flight AI-0665, bounded from Delhi to Mumbai was due to take off from the Delhi airport terminal 3 at 8.00 am on September 9, 2014. But due to some operational reason the flight did not take off. When the passengers had a heated argument with the Air India counter staff as they waited to board the plane, on enquiring they came to know that the pilot of the flight did not turn up. The flight was scheduled to depart at 8.00am and arrive in Mumbai at 11.am, terminal 1A, but due to some functioning problem the flight got delayed.
Although Air India has the reputation of being not the best service provider, people still chose to travel via Air India, naturally ignoring the worst airlines tag. This particular incident has not happened with Air India for the first time. Even in the past, people have come across and experienced such muddled up situations.
With Air India tumbling down in huge losses and the government trying to make all the right moves to bail out this domestic carrier out of the turmoil. But with such colossal failure in conveyance the stature of Air India is degrading day in and day out.
