Chouhan for cargo terminals at airports, better air connectivity

Bhopal: Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has asked Union minister for aviation Ashok Gajapathi Raju Pusapati for exclusive cargo terminals in Indore and Bhopal airports to make faster transportation of perishable products possible from the state. The Union minister was here on a one-day visit with a delegation of top executives from Air India and other private aviation companies including Jet Airways, Indigo and Spice Jet.

The Union minister praised chief minister Chouhan for his insight into capturing what could a very profitable venture both for airlines companies and for the entrepreneurs from the state. "This is for the first time that the aviation ministry has received an invitation from a state government to visit and resolve the problems of civil aviation," Ashok Gajapati Raju said.
"The chief minister has asked for cargo terminals, a concept that when introduced can be a highly profitable venture. The state wants cold storage facilities in airports to facilitate business activities," he added.
