Gold Haul at M'lore Airport

Mangalore:  Customs sleuths at the Mangalore International Airport snooped out 1,393.200 grams of gold cleverly camouflaged in the form of foil to pack potato wafers and stickers from two passengers on Wednesday.

The passengers from Kasargod, had arrived from Dubai on a Jet Airways flight at Bajpe.

A release from Commissioner of Customs Mangalore D Purushottam stated that it is the first case when gold foil had been used to wrap tins of potato wafers and concealed in the check-in baggage.
