Gold seizure at Mumbai International Airport totals to 405 kg

Gold seizure at the Mumbai International Airport has jumped seven-fold during April to July this year, according to data released by the Indian Customs Department. The Customs department has seized 405 kg of gold during the first four months of the current fiscal, says a report. During the corresponding four-month period last fiscal the total of 62 kilograms of gold was seized. Also, taking into account, nearly 107 kilograms of gold seized during the current month, the total gold seizures have now exceeded 500 kilograms, adds report.
