Navi Mumbai: The Bombay high court's order on Wednesday, setting October 6 as deadline for villagers to avail of the relief scheme, has come as a major boost to the international airport project in the city.
The order also gave a breather to the implementing body, City and Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco), that has been facing agitations by project affected persons ( PAPs) over land acquisition.
The Metro One centre in Panvel witnessed long queues for submission of consent letters. Cidco MD Sanjay Bhatia has decided to expedite the process after a discussion with Raigad collector.
The court order will also provide an impetus to the global tender floated for request for qualification (RFQ) to select a strategic partner for the around Rs 15,000-crore airport.
