Coimbatore: An Air Arabia flight from Sharjah suffered a bird hit when it was landing at the Coimbatore international airport in the wee hours of Friday.
The Air Arabia flight carrying 171 passengers landed safely at the airport at 3.40am. No one was injured in the incident.
"On inspections done later, they realized that one of the wings of the aircraft suffered a damage as a result of the bird hit," said D Paul Manickam, director, Coimbatore airport.
