Kasargod: A person who arrived by Air India Express flight from Dubai at Karipur international airport in Kozhikode was arrested by air customs officials on Wednesday October 15, after finding that he was carrying 87.5 sovereigns (700 grams) of gold coins without disclosing it.
The passenger concerned has been identified as P K Abdul Khader (29), resident of Bendichal in Chengala in the district. He had hidden the gold coins inside his anus, customs officials said.
