Airline bosses have gained notoriety for taking off on each other. AirAsia founder Tony Fernandes even accused SpiceJet's COO Sanjiv Kapoor of keeping a voodoo doll of AirAsia India head, Mittu Chandilya. Chandilya took it a step further. On October 3 , he opened up to ETPanache about SpiceJet's di gs and Fe rnandes's views. Chandilya even sportingly posed for us, with a Mittulookalike doll.
The same day, it seemed like the joke had caught on, with Kapoor and Chandilya indulging in cheeky Twitter banter. Kapoor asked Chandilya for his 'voodoo doll' back. To which, Chandilya replied that it had "too many holes in it and needed to be nursed back".
Kapoor's next tweet suggested that even hypothetically, there can't be many holes. His reply: "Whatever we do, we do with all our heart...! ;)" To mix our social media metaphors, looks like it's 'Relationship Status: Complicated' between AirAsia and Spice Jet.
