Attempt to rob gold smuggler at Bangalore airport goes awry, 11 arrested

A gang of gold smugglers have landed in the Bangalore central prison after a factional feud in the gang resulted in one group robbing the other outside the Bangalore International Airport.
The aggrieved faction of the gang filed a police complaint without disclosing the fact that they were gold smugglers. Police investigations have resulted in the arrest of the robbers and the complainants. An international gold smuggling racket was busted and 11 persons were arrested, police claimed.
The man behind the smuggling racket was identified as Mohammed Kittur a resident of Bangalore.
According to the airport police they received a complaint about a robbery case on September 29 from one Arun Kumar of Yeshwanthapura in north Bangalore where it was stated that Kumar and his friend Harish were at the Bangalore International Airport on the night of September 28 to receive Mohammed Kittur who was arriving from Singapore.
