CM blames syndicates for Andal airport woes

Andal:  Chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday attacked "a few mediators" and "various syndicates" for trying to destabilize the Andal airport project. During her 18-minute stay at Kazi Nazrul Islam Airport, Mamata stressed on the presence of some "unholy nexus" but stopped short of identifying them.

In fact, the chief minister confirmed that the agitators "have no political colours and are mostly unauthorized persons". She arrived in a Pawan Hans chopper at 2.42pm and went to Asansol to attend her official programme at 3pm. She was greeted by Durgapur SDO Kasturi Sengupta, ADCP (east) Sunil Yadav, Bengal Aerotroplois Project Ltd (BAPL) IGP (western range) Siddhinath Gupta and Changi Airports officials.
