TDP Assails KCR for Resolution on Airport Terminal

Vijayawada: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has come down heavily on Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for adopting a resolution in the Assembly opposing restoration of the name of the domestic terminal as NTR domestic terminal at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad.

Speaking to mediapersons here Friday, TDP state secretary Gottipati Venkata Ramakrishna Prasad said that it was unbecoming of a leader of the stature of KCR to pass the resolution, ignoring the fact that NTR lives in the hearts of the people of Telangana as well.

He said that there is no denying the fact that NTR had done more to the people of Telangana than any Telangana leader including KCR. It was NTR who did not field Telugu Desam candidate against PV Narasimha Rao in election to the Lok Sabha so that a Telugu man could become the prime minister of the country without any hurdles. He had never had narrow vision that PV Narasimha Rao hailed from Telangana and therefore should be left to his fate.
