Ahmedabad: More than 10,000 passengers were affected as 23 flights including 11 on Ahmedabad- Delhi and six on Middle-east route were delayed due to dense fog and congestion in air traffic from city on Tuesday while six trains were running late.
The flights on Ahmedabad- Delhi route delayed included three flights of Jet Airways, Air India and Indigo each and two of SpiceJet by 1.5 hours to 4.5 hours. Several fliers from the city missed connecting flights as flights to and from Delhi kept getting delayed.
Indigo's Pune-Ahmedabad, Jaipur-Ahmedabad and Ahmedabad-Goa along with SpiceJet's Hyderabad-Ahmedabad flights were also affected during the day. Three flights on Ahmedabad-Mumbai route were also delayed. Also due to congestion in traffic, six flights to and from Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi were delayed by 1 hour to 2 hours.
