Bengaluru: The arrival of several early morning flights at the Kempegowda International Airport was delayed on Wednesday due to dense fog in New Delhi. The delays affected the entire day’s schedule for some airlines as several flights, which were supposed to land in the evening, were also delayed.
According to a spokesperson for the Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), there were six departure and seven arrival delays because of fog in various destinations, including New Delhi.
Air Indigo, in its weather update for Thursday morning, predicted dense fog conditions for Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Varanasi, Agartala and Guwahati. The airline also faced delays in flights taking off from Bengaluru because of late arrivals from other destinations.
