Robert Vadra may soon lose 'no-frisk privileges'

New Delhi: Robert Vadra, the controversial son-in-law of Congress president Sonia Gandhi may soon have to stand in airport queues for frisking like other civilians.
The Aviation Ministry has written to the Union Home Ministry to decide on the issue of exempting people not holding any constitutional position from frisking at airports, says a Times of India report.
An aviation ministry official has been quoted as saying in the report that there are only two such names in the list, one is Dalai Lama and another is Robert Vadra. He said Dalai Lama is a religious figure and head of a Government in exile. His exemption from frisking is understandable but Vadra's name should be removed from the exempt list.
Exemption from frisking at airports is accorded to the VIPs like the President, Prime Minister, chief ministers, other ministers, Supreme Court judges and governors and to individuals with 'extremely high threat' perceptions.
