Sloppy Air India loses passengers baggage

Ahmedabad: In yet another bitter experience with Air India, a passenger from London who had come to attend a wedding in Gujarat had to return empty-handed as he lost his luggage in transit and did not get it back even after almost six weeks. Worse, Harish Rajpara (54), who is a native of Rajkot and has been living in London for 23 years with his family, underwent delay and subsequent cancellation of his flight twice: while coming to Indian as also while flying back.
Rajpara is into food business and had come to Gujarat to attend a wedding in his son-inlaw's family. He booked himself in London-Mumbai-Ahmedabad AI 131 flight for October 27. When he reached Heathrow airport and boarded the aircraft, he was told that the flight was delayed. After sometime, the passengers were told that the flight had been cancelled and will leave the next day. So, he took the flight on October 28 and reached Ahmedabad on October 29, Rajpara told Mirror. "I came to India after twoand- a-half years but was thoroughly disappointed with the experience. While we were made to wait for the flight, no proper care was taken by Air India staff at Heathrow," he said.
