SpiceJet resumes normal operations

New Delhi: The operations of the budget carrier SpiceJet, which were hit severely last week due to the non-payment of dues to the oil companies and regulatory issues, returned to normal on Sunday with the airline operating 124 flights till this afternoon.
"Today's operations: SpiceJet as of 3.15pm operated 124 flights with an on-time performance of 90 per cent," airline's chief operating officer Sanjiv Kapoor said in a tweet.
SpiceJet will operate another 106 flights for the rest of the day, Kapoor said.
The airline's on-time performance was badly hit on Saturday with most of its flights from Delhi and Mumbai airport departing and arriving at a delay of up to three hours.
