Nashik: The state government has decided to transfer the airport terminal building at Ozar (about 20 km from Nashik city) to Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) at a lease rate of Re 1 a month on a long-term basis and the proposal has been sent to the defence ministry for approval.
Speaking to the media during his visit to Nashik on Friday, chief minister Devendra Fadanvis said, "We just had a meeting with defence minister Manohar Parrikar over the transfer of the airport terminal building at Ozar to HAL at a nominal lease of Re 1 a month on a long-term basis. He agreed to our decision and asked us to send a proposal. Accordingly, we have sent the proposal for leasing out the airport terminal building to HAL at a nominal cost of Re 1 a month."
