Air India services from tomorrow

Vijayawada: National carrier Air India’s has deferred its plan to introduce new flights in the Hyderabad-Vijayawada-Tirupati route from Friday to February 1 (Sunday) owing to operational reasons.

Officials said the 70-seater flight was supposed to arrive from New Delhi for commencing its services from the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad from Friday, but the launch was postponed on Thursday night. “We received a message from senior officials that the flight could not land at the RGIA due to operational reasons,” a senior official said.

He added efforts were on to begin daily services from Sunday. “We have made alternative arrangements for those who had already booked tickets from Hyderabad to Vijayawada on Friday,” he said. The flight will take off from RGIA around 7.45 a.m. and reach Gannavaram at 8.55 a.m.
