Bengaluru: Drone aerial cameras were deployed in the city on Wednesday night to closely monitor the New Year celebrations and take cautionary safety measures. The city witnessed a low-intensity blast outside a restaurant on a busy street on Sunday in which one woman was killed while three others were injured. Bengaluru Police earned praises for the tightened security measures in the wake of the blast. One tweet said: ""Am I in Namma Bengaliru or in some Foreign country..Unbelievable work by our cops.Greay job.." A second tweet said: "Simply Brilliant work, must say that @BlrCityPolice is innovative, proactive and absolutely people friendly n best in the country." Another post said: ""Proud of you Bengaluru Police.. The lean towards using tech is commendable." "For 1st time Drone Aerial Cameras being used for New Year. Remote controlled.Go upto 50 mts," DCP Central (Bengaluru) Sandeep Patil tweeted.
