Arunachal Pradesh CM: Efforts on to air link state

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki said that efforts were on to air link the state by fixed-wing aircrafts with advanced landing airports at Aalo, Pasighat, Tezu, Ziro and Mechuka likely to be made operational this year.

“I have moved the Centre and assured private airliners interested to operate from the state to compensate their losses in case of inadequate passengers,” the chief minister told reporters here last night after inaugurating the Frankfinn Institute of Airhostess Taining.

The advance landing airport at Vijoynagar in Changlang district is in operation since November 18, 2011, he said.
“The union civil aviation ministry has also been requested to make Guwahati-Lilabari flight regular while the construction of Itanagar Greenfield airport is being expedited,” he added.
Earlier, appreciating the endeavour of Frankfinn, he said it would create employment opportunities for talented youth of the state.
