Chennai: IIT Madras (IITM) and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Bangalore, have a memorandum of understanding for establishing a Chair Professorship in the institute. This will facilitate a long-term, mutually-beneficial relationship between both for academic and research-based interactions.
The MoU was signed today in Bengaluru at the HAL stall in Aero India 2015.
HAL will fund the Chair by contributing a one-time payment of ?1.5 crore to the corpus of IITM.
