New Delhi: SpiceJet launched its fourth sale in less than two weeks offering tickets that are “cheaper than train fares” for three days beginning Wednesday.
Customers, however, faced problems with the website crashing during the day due to overload.
The airline, which is on its recovery path following a regime change, is offering 1 lakh tickets for Rs 599 all-inclusive for travel between July 1 and October 24. Another 3 lakh tickets are also on discounted rate. “We have got a huge response for our sale and hence we are experiencing heavy traffic on our website. Bookings are still continuing. A message comes if too many people try to log on at the same time and the queue is full. Customers who are already logged on are processed normally,” a SpiceJet spokesperson told Deccan Herald.
“Seats are limited and offer is available on first-come-first-serve basis,” the airline stated.
Under this offer, tickets on routes like Hyderabad to Vijayawada, Delhi to Dehradun, Guwahati to Kolkata, Ahmedabad to Mumbai, and Bengaluru to Hyderabad are priced at Rs 599 only.
