Biju Patnaik International Airport, Bhubaneswar to develop an Art Gallery

Bhubaneswar: In an effort to encourage and promote Amateur/Budding Artists, Airports Authority of India, has decided to create/develop an Art Gallery in the Security Hold Area (SHA) of New Domestic Terminal (NDTB-T1), BPI Airport, Bhubaneswar. The mainstay of AAI is to achieve highest standards of safety and quality in air traffic services and airport management by providing state-of-the-art infrastructure for total customer satisfaction, contributing to economic growth and prosperity of the nation. To serve the social cause, a platform is being provided by AAI to facilitate the budding artists to exhibit their creations/artwork and make a reasonably significant mark in the Art world. AAI wishes to invite original creations including sculpture or any other form of Art but not limited to paintings, for display inside the terminal building. The artist shall have a right to put a tag “for sale” and the Art work shall carry price tag fixed on it. It is understood that this step taken by AAI will help create vocation and much anticipated prominence to the local talent.
