DGCA pulls up Air India for compromising with passengers' safety

Mumbai: Pulling up Air India, the Director General of Civil Aviation has written to the national carrier asking it to stop operating with mimimum crew. The action comes after it was highlighted how the national carrier was compromising with flight safety norms by rendering fully operational doors unserviceable.
This as Air India did not have the requisite crew to fly on several long haul flights. CNN-IBN had reported how the airline on occasions operates with only one entry-exit point making it dangerous during emergency situations.
