Kozhikoce: Gold bars, weighing two kg and worth Rs 55 lakh, were today seized from an Air India passenger at nearby Karipur international airport, air customs intelligence officials said.
Acting on a tip-off, officials checked AI 998 aircraft which arrived at 5.30 am from Sharjah and seized a packet containing the gold bars hidden under a seat.
