New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday defended Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju's claims about carrying matches in aircrafts, saying he was just addressing issues concerning security at the airports.
"I think the civil aviation minister was addressing issues concerning security at the airports. I think he was just pointing out how in most countries lighters are allowed inside airports but in India we have some security provisions which are possibly not followed anywhere else in the world," said BJP spokesperson G V L Narasimha Rao .
