Kochi: The Customs Preventive Unit seized nine gold bars weighing 116.6 grams each from a passenger who arrived at Nedumbassery airport from Dubai on Tuesday.
The arrested persons was identified as Suhail, a native of Kodungalloor. It was following a specific tip-off that the officials intercepted Suhail at the exit passage of the airport.On interrogation, he confessed that gold bars were hidden in his rectum.
