A married couple has been arrested for allegedly trying to smuggle into the country gold valuing about Rs 42 lakh at Delhi's international airport.
The woman was intercepted by customs officials after her arrival at Delhi from Dubai on Friday. She was found carrying three pieces of gold bars total weighing 1.7 kg concealed in her denim shorts worn under her leggings, a press release issued today by the customs said.
