IGI airport police record harassed woman's statement

Bengaluru: A special police team from Indira Gandhi International Airport recorded the statement of a City-based woman, who was sexually harassed by an immigration officer at the Delhi airport on March 18 night.
Sunil Yadav, a woman inspector, and Rajiv K, a sub-inspector from IGI Airport, visited the City on Thursday and recorded the victim’s statement. They produced her at a Bengaluru court and she narrated the entire incident to the judge, said sources in the police department.
The victim, in a two-page statement, narrated her horrifying experience at the airport, before leaving for Hong Kong. She stated that immigration officer Vinod Kumar asked her some sexually explicit questions while checking her passport and other travel documents after she reached Delhi from Bengaluru.
