Lucknow: Getting a car on rent from Lucknow airport is going to burn a deeper hole in your pocket. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has decided to increase the licence fee for car rental operators by 10%. This would eventually result in escalation of rental charges for the public.
Passengers arriving at Lucknow airport essentially take cars on rent for commuting out of Lucknow. Currently, a passenger travelling to Kanpur from Lucknow airport is required to pay around Rs 1,800. This goes up to around Rs 4,500 for those going to a city like Allahabad. With the revision in rates, this is going to escalate by another 10%.
