Tuticorin: Fifty one air passengers had a harrowing experience after the Spicejet flight bound for Chennai got delayed for a long time due to a technical snag.
The flight, scheduled to take off from Vagaikulam airport in Tuticorin at 4.15 p.m. on Monday, managed to leave the airport only around 7 a.m. after a team of engineers attended to the problem, sources from the airport here said.
An oil leak from the engine was detected by ground engineers here ahead of the aircraft’s take off. However, passengers onboard were safe.
