Nashik: Allaying fears of the seaplane being harmful to the nature, promoters of Maritime Energy Heli Air Services Pvt Ltd (MEHAIR) announced that ticket bookings for the air services will begin from June 7. The seaplane that can land both on land and water will initially fly from Nashik to Pune.
The much-touted commercial seaplane service will start from June 15.
Siddharth Verma and S S Mann, promoters of the aviation company, on Friday made a presentation in this regard to the industrialists during a programme organised by the Travel Agents Association of Nashik (TAAN).
Cessna 208A, the nine-seater seaplane, will fly from Ozar airport to Pune. The services, which will be carried out in association with the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), will gradually be extended from Juhu to the backwaters of Gangapur dam.
