Air Asia may launch its international flights from the Biju Patnaik International Airport, Bhubanswar soon. Biju Patnaik Intrnational Airport Director Sharad Kumar said though no decision has yet been taken but Air Asia could launch its operation from Bhubaneswar before the Nabakalebar festival.
Mr Kumar was talking to media after a three-member delegation of the Air Asia led by its General Manager Suresh Kumar met Odisha Chief Secretary G C Pati and discussed in detail about its flight operation from Bhubaneswar. The Director said before meeting the Chief Secretary, the Air Asia delegation visited the airport and assessed the commercial viability of the proposed flight operation.
