Airport harassment probe goes slow due to techie’s ill-health

Mangaluru:  The investigation of the alleged harassment and abuse of an IT professional by taxi operators at Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) on June 12 has been going at a slow pace.

The IT professional who had to appear before the police to identify the accused in the CCTV camera footage at the airport is unwell. "I'm down with high fever. As soon as I recover, I will meet the investigating officer and do the needful," said Sunitha (name changed) who is recuperating at her home here.

Meanwhile, police sources said the MIA CCTV camera footage has drawn a blank as far as the ruckus in the areas covered by the cameras. "We don't see any indication of any altercation taking place between the taxi drivers and the woman in the CCTV footage handed over to us," said a police official on condition of anonymity.
