Coimbatore: Long waits at the airport may soon cease to be boring and unproductive. Be it official work or catching up with friends via social networking sites, you can do them all thanks to the new plan to provide wifi access to passengers in the check-in lounge of the Coimbatore international airport. The service is likely to be available by July end, said airport authorities.
Prakash Reddy who was recently appointed as the airport director had promised to provide wifi access at the airport at the earliest. "It has become a basic necessity expected in every international airport across the world," he said.
Though he is yet to take charge officially, authorities have started talking to telecom operators to provide the service.
