A Customs team seized 1.25 kg of gold sheets from a passenger who reached Calicut International Airport at Karipur from Sharjah on Thursday.
Jafar Mathath was detained by the Customs team led by Assistant Commissioner Shyam Sundar at the airport. He arrived from Sharjah on Air India flight AI 998., Customs sources said.
