Chennai: From seeking the help of satellites to deploying submarines and even testing the traces of oil found off the coast of Karaikal, the Indian Coast Guard is leaving no stone unturned to locate the missing Dornier aircraft and the three crew on board.
However, the desperate measures have not had any success so far till the time of writing this report, over 48 hours since the surveillance aircraft CG 791 went missing with the crew.
The aircraft might have crashed and hit the sea bed, a Nagapattinam report said, quoting sources involved in the mission. The search and rescue team was said to have claimed that the dornier might have crashed in the proximity of Pichavaram coast in Cuddalore district.
