It seems like good times are here for hi-flyers. Jet Airways ' three day sale on business class seats across the domestic network has taken competition by surprise.
This summer bonanza by Jet Airways may prompt other airlines to follow suit. According to sources Vistara and Air India were also preparing a discount scheme for business class seats after Jet pulled the rug from under their feet. Neither Vistara, nor Air India have officially confirmed about the discount package. According to Jet Airways spokesperson the airline has already seen 50 percent jump in bookings. Under the scheme, bookings have to be made till today for travel beginning June 20 and there is a 25 percent discount on all "premiere" seats on jet's domestic network. A Delhi-Mumbai ticket under this scheme is for a little less than Rs 20,000 whereas Bhopal-Mumbai is just shy of Rs 5000.
