Kadapa Airport to be inaugurated on June 7

Delhi: Kadapa will be on the air connectivity map of the country on 7th June, 2015. The Airport will be inaugurated on the day at a function to be attended by Minister of Civil Aviation Shri P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu.

The first flight at Kadapa will land from Bengaluru at 11.30 a.m. on the day.

Airports Authority of India, in its endeavour to promote regional and remote area connectivity in Tier-II and Tier III cities, has completed the development of Kadapa Airport at the cost of Rs. 42 Crores. The Airport has a new compact pre-fabricated terminal building with a capacity to handle 100 peak hour passengers at a time.
