Malappuram: The Chief Judicial Magistrate Court at Manjeri on Thursday denied bail to nine Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel who were in remand in connection with the June 10 violence at the Karipur airport.
Judge S. Jayakumar John refused to grant them bail on the ground that the investigation was in the initial phase and giving bail at this stage would encourage them to go into hiding.
The judge observed that it would be difficult for the investigation team to find them as they were from different States.
