Mangaluru: Custom officials seized foreign currency equivalent to Rs. 7,54,411 from a passenger at Mangaluru International Airport on Sunday when he was allegedly attempting to smuggle them out of the country without valid documents.
The foreign currency seized included 18,250 Saudi Arabian Riyals, 1,075 UAE Dirhams, 860 Kuwait Dinars, 3,650 Qatar Riyals, 735 Omani Riyals, 55 Bahrain Dinars and 500 U.S. Dollars in various denominations.
